The University of Alabama enrolls more than 38,000 students each year through nearly 200 undergraduate and graduate programs, including over 70 online programs. UA’s online division, Bama by Distance, offers an online BS in commerce and business administration through the Culverhouse School of Business and the College of Continuing Education.
The 120-credit program includes general education, major, and elective courses. Students explore core business concepts including strategic management, statistical data analysis, and business communications. Courses include business calculus, principles of accounting, and introduction to production management. Students must also complete a distance learning seminar during their first semester.
The program includes an automatic major in general business. Many students choose to add a minor in communication studies or computing technology and applications. Students may apply as freshman or transfer students. UA accepts applications for enrollment in the fall, spring, and summer terms.
